Under the motto “Adventure, Willpower, and Team Spirit,” the Altra Sunset Wattenmeer 2026 recently took place. Right in the thick of it: our very own running team, “Die durchlaufenden Posten” (a wordplay on the German accounting term for “transitory items” or “pass-through items”).

The athletic challenge was formidable: over 250 kilometers along the North Sea coast had to be covered in a relay format—non-stop, day and night, with only minimal breaks for sleep. What began as an extreme test of endurance quickly turned into a demonstration of extraordinary solidarity. Every team member pushed themselves to their limits to support one another and achieve their shared goal.

After an emotional and grueling journey, the team finally crossed the finish line at the pier in St. Peter-Ording.
