Professional regulations

The profession of tax advisor and tax consulting firms are essentially subject to the following professional regulations regulations:

  • Tax Consultancy Act (StBerG)
  • Implementing Regulations for the Tax Consultancy Act (DVStB)
  • Professional Regulations (BOStB)
  • Tax Advisor Fees Regulation (StBGebV)

The professional regulations can be viewed at the relevant Chamber of Tax Advisors (www.bstbk.de).

The profession of auditor and auditing companies are essentially subject to the following professional regulations:

  • Auditors’ Act (WPO)
  • Commercial Code (HGB)
  • Statutes of the Chamber of Public Accountants
  • Announcements by the IDW
